Dr. Kirkham was born in Sudbury Ontario and moved to Prince Edward County after graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery but especially loves client communication and enhancing the human animal bond. Dr. Kirkham lives just outside Picton on a hobby farm with her husband Adam (owner of Holgate Tire and Battery & Auto Master) and her three beautiful girls, Bella (2003), Laila (2005), and Poppy (2008). She has too many animals to list but includes horses, goats, chickens, bunnies, dogs, cats, and fish! In her spare time she loves to sew. If you see her wearing a skirt at work she likely made it! She is also the area team leader for the non-profit organization called Days for Girls. They sew reusable feminine hygiene kits for women and girls in Haiti. Dr. Kirkham travels to Haiti 1-2 times a year on church mission trips. She started a non-profit child sponsorship program 4 years ago to help send children to school. She is lucky to be able to visit her sponsor daughter while there.
